From the Bozeman airport, take I-90 East.
Take Exit #333 in Livingstson, Montana.
  • At the light, go left onto US Highway 89-South.
  • Drive south 53 miles to Gardiner, Montana
  • Follow the Main street through Gardiner until you get to the curve and the first gas Station (Cenex)
  • Take a left at the Cenex station onto Jardine Road (the steep hill to the right). Crossing the bridge means you went too far!
  • Follow the Jardine Rd. for 5 miles. The Bear Lair Lodge will be on your left (495 Jardine Rd).
  • Look for the small log cabin in a treed front yard.
    • The greater Yellowstone area is truly big sky country. Longer distances are traveled more commonly...because this is the wide-open west!
    When making your plans for fun and adventure, be sure to plan in travel times and distances.   • Cooke City, Montana: 45 miles and 1:30 hr/min
  • Yellowstone Lake Junction in Yellowstone: 57 miles and 1:30 hr/min
  • Cody, Wyoming: 130 miles and 3 hrs
  • Jackson, Wyoming: 200 miles and 4 hours
  • Old Faithful in Yellowstone: 57 miles and 1:30 hr/min
  • West Yellowstone, Montana: 55 miles and 1:30 hr/min

    • With a little planning and lots of film (alright..and some snacks & beverages) a day trip through the park or a surrounding town is worth the time!
